Interactive exposition of statics, exhibition dedicated to Ejpovice Tunnel and exhibition to honor 100th anniversary from the day when Miroslav Zikmund was born. Heroic journeys, constructions, technologies – solid ground work and bold aims..

FILMMAKERS HANZELKA AND ZIKMUND
From 3rd April 2019

On the 14th February 2019 celebrated Miroslav Zikmund, who was born in Pilsen his 100th birthday. We also remind the 60th anniversary from the beginning of the second great journey, that he undertook together with Mr. Hanzelka. Their second journey started on 22nd February and the National Technical Muzeum in Prague was their starting spot. The exhibition presents not only their remarkable journeys around the world (especially the second one to Asia), but also exciting way of how two engineers of economy become filmmakers, photographs and writers. Within the exposition the visitors may see also stereoscope photos, made by Zikmund and Hanzelka during their second journey.

EJPOVICE TUNNEL. ROKYCANY – PILSEN RAILWAY TRACK MODERNIZATION
From 3rd April 2019

Do you know who is Victorie? And do you know that thanks to it the longest railway tunnel in Czech Republic was built? In National Technical Museum Centre for Building Heritage in Plasy we prepared an exhibition about this interesting transport construction. While working on this project the most modern technique and machines were used and several records were broken.

STATICS WHY DOES IT (NOT) FALL
from 5th June 2019

Exposition of Civil Engineering now offers to its visitor the opportunity to see the construction by the view of statics expert. What is hidden to our eyes? Our interactive exposition shows out what is hidden inside the constructions, what is hidden behind the hours of calculating and gives our visitors chance to try the principles of physics on their own hand. Within this exhibition historical blueprints and models are displayed and allow our visitors to compare the history and the present of this field of study.

The exhibitions are opened within the Civil Engineering Exposition situated in the former brewery.
